Some alone time

It is always so nice seeing the family that lives so far away. I do miss them and wish we could be more involved in one another's lives. I miss having sisters to talk to (since I don't really talk much with my own). But I must also confess... a few moments alone this evening has done me some good. The family has gone for ice cream and one last good bye but I opted to stay in, finishing packing up and let G get to bed at a decent hour for a change.

We will be heading back to real life tomorrow. Santa Barbara is a beautiful city and a wonderful place to spend a week of vacation, but at the same time... I miss home. I am not looking forward to the long trip home, but movies and Soduko should keep us occupied.

I also have a disaster of a scrap space that needs cleaning! I couldn't even walk into the den before I left and now that yet another family memeber has gotten hitched, I have another wedding "something" to get made. Maybe this time it will take me less than the 2 years for the last project? I'm setting a goal of early August as the happy new couple are moving to Indianapolis mid July. I think a wedding album and journal jar for their first year of marriage would be appropriate. Now to come up with some creative prompts for that one!! Could be fun...
